Here are the three posters which i did originally for the rain poster brief, however i decided that i really didn't like them and so i have started doing new ones. They don't have a good enough concept behind them and they are not particularly visually pleasing . I am currently working on new ones.

Rain poster Experimentation
After deciding that I didn't like my first attempt at my Rain Posters I tried redoing them. This is what I came up with, below is the poster which I sent of for the live brief, however I felt like it didn't look complete and so I messed around with the colours.
I changed the colour of the background and then changed the position of the type.
This was the colour pallet which i ended up working with.
I hand drew these illustrations and the scanned them in, I tried different shapes and colours to see which would work best. I personally think that the loads work well, however I don't like the rain very much. If I were to do the posters again I would used already existing typography instead of my own.
I also added this imagery of a small child as I wanted my posters to have a childish theme as it is from a nursery rhyme.
After experimenting with different colours I decided to go with white and a green background.
Final Evaluation
1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
I have looked a lot more into different research methods, i have tried doing surveys and asking people questions to their faces as well as looking a secondary research in more detail. I have also developed my skills on illustrator whilst completing my 100 things briefs, as i have learnt how to create shapes and make different patterns, I have also learnt new skills on photoshop, which helped me with the photoshop brief, and creating my final postcards. I have tried to apply these skills to the best of my ability.

2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I have produced more design sheets than normal in the 100 things brief, and this has defiantly helped me develop my ideas. my design sheets are better quality than previously, Design sheets have helped me move from my rough ideas on to my final products. I have also looked at other artists work which has really helped my design development, as I have seen different ways in which designs has led on the final products.

3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
|
|||||
I really enjoyed Making the final product for the 100 things brief and so i think it has shown in the work, I overall pleased with my final products from this brief, i think making the packaging was something i enjoyed and so i will hopefully do it again.

4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future?
One weakness which is very obvious within all of my projects is not enough research, if I were to go back and redo them I would start by researching everything in much more detail. Another thing which i would address in the future would be to do more design sheets, i think the amount of design sheets which I have for the How too brief is defiantly not enough. If i had more time to change my work I would also go back and slightly change the final product for how too as they didn't have a very good response from the class or tutors. i don't think they work too well as products.

The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.

Final postcards
Below are my final designs for my postcards, I had huge problems printing them as they turned out to be all the wrong sizes, to add to this, the colour on the postcards, came out wrong so I had to change my colour from being Green to purple as the tint was purple.
I took my photos around uni, where there were lots of trees and flowers, my aim was to focus on green, and take photos of trees and bushes, I put a tint on my photos which made them look slightly vintage, however this turned out to be a bad idea as they printed purple, I then changed the back of my postcards in order for the front and back to match. They look totally different on screen than when they were printed. the fact that i couldn't print them in the digital dungeon due to it being closed, made the colour even worse.

Final designs for tea Packaging
Below are the final designs for Tea, i have aimed my tea at men and so I have tried to make the designs Male friendly as well as female friendly. the colours I have used on the background of my packaging is grey and white, i changed it from being black and white as I thought it looked a little harsh, the grey works better with the colours too.
