Coaster Designs

I started designing coasters with just the shape in mind,below are some designs which I started with.

I looked at different colours and shapes to use but decided that a circle would be the best.

These are the patterns which I designed to put on the Coasters and Calendar, I started by creating basic shapes and then placing them together in order to make a more detailed pattern, I used green again due to the colour restrictions in the brief.

We wanted to produce size rosters all of the same design but with different patterns. So for each coaster i produce a patterns and then made it into a circle shape so that i could add a boarder and make them look tidier.  

All together there were 6 coaster designs, all with different quotes or facts about smiling on the back of them. due to printing restrictions we had to print them on paper and stick them onto mount boards which did look slightly messy, but if they were to be produced again they would be printed double sided onto thick card.

Jenna did the type on the coasters and added quirky quotes about smiling and how it can be highly beneficial.
