Experimentation for//Proverbally yours//message and delivery//

The brief was set, and we were asked to produced a mail shot which, combined our Proverb from the previous project and a a new occupation given to us from Amber, the occupation given to me was an Author, so to begin these illustrations were done as a response to being given an Author as an occupation, 5 things which relate to Writing, a typewriter, a quill and ink, a book, glasses and finally an ink pen.

The illustrations were done in a simple form, as if they were icons.

These illustrations were done in an attempt to show that even the simplest things can be simplified, the first one was done, and was simple but the second takes it to the next level where it is simply just lines

 We were asked to find an appropriate type face, which related to our occupation, this one was chosen (Daisy Wheel) as it looks like it has been written on a typewriter, which is what an Author would have used before computers.

//Final Poster Designs//

Below are my Final poster designs for Pro verbally Yours,  Message and Interpretation, Overall the posters work, but they work better together than separately. From my feedback both the one with image and type and the one with just image both seem to be effective in delivering the message. However the `type poster seemed to get confused with the Image and type poster, so if it were to be done again, the Type would be changed.

All of the potters together on the wall.

Type Poster.

Image Poster.

Type and Image poster.
Something which was noticed just after print was a huge typo, On my Image and typography poster there is a mis-spelling, The word Everything has been spelt incorrectly, and instead of everything it is 'Everyting'. This is a drastic mistake and would obviously need to be changed.

 Another thing which would be changed if the Final pieces were to be redone would be the stock used as it was to textured, so the ink didn't sink into it properly. The ink rubbed of the paper and gave it a less solid look, and made it look more scruffy.

This is my image in context outside of some public toilets.

Tis was my feedback form the crit on friday, all in all it was pretty good.

Experimentation for//Proverbally yours//message and Interpretation//

The brief was set on the  10th of october, we were asked to produce a set of 3 high impact posters which deliver a personal identified message, We were given a proverb which we had to based to poster on. the three posters had to work together and be visually consistent. One had to be purely type, one had to be purely image and one with both type and image.

To begun the project, a mind map was created to come up with ideas which could be used for the posters, everything which was not as it seemed was added to the mind map. After doing a minding map Design sheet were created in order to come up with ideas for the three posters.

Once some ideas had been generated, a final idea was picked and developed until the imagery was focused and portrayed the message which was set.

Further development of ideas.

//Final Piece/ Alphabet Soup//Message and delivery//

Here is the Final Piece for Alphabet Soup, Id this project were to be redone, changes would be mad to the way it was made, for example the letters are not all lined up correctly and the letters are slightly different sizes, this could easily be corrected be using One of the adobe programs and lining the letters up in this way,in addition to this the letters could be more precise, due to the fact that they were drag free hand in the style of Helvetica Bold they are not all the same.

Here is the name tags we were asked to produce for our partner to wear, it is quite effective other than the fact that he found it a bit scary. This contradicts what the projects was supposed to be about and so if it were to be changed, it would be the fill of the letters which would be changed.
