Letter Hierarchy

  1. The first magazine layout which I looked at was that of Elle, the layout is simple and easily readable. It looks clean and has limited type, as well as high quality images and everything has white space around it, it uses a simple grid layout.

2. The second magazine layout which I looked at was that of The Sunday Times, again it is simple and easily read, how every it has more colums than the previous, an the images are lower quality.

3.The third layout I look at was form a magazine called More, it is much more busy and has many different type sizes, the colours make it seasonal but also make it more crowded and complicated in design. it has multiple colums and uses several different types.

1.The first newspaper article which I looked at was very simple in design and was mainly made up of photography, it had 15 different variation of type.

2.The second Newspaper article was more busy and more complicated in design, there was a lot less white space and had much more information in the same space as the previous.

3.The third article which i looked at was that from the Hexham courant, it is filled with a lot of information so is mostly type, however it does have some photography and so has a moderately complicated grid layout. it had a total of 9 different types.

Posters
The first poster which I looked at was not particularly very nice, it was shiny and had over 6 typefaces. however the poster did get a message across but wasn't particularly visually pleasing.

The second poster which I looked at was this one below, this poster is an improvement on the last n my opinion, the colours are much more exciting and the type is more iteresting.

This as the third posters which I looked at, I think this is the best poster I looked at in terms of being visually pleasing. the type used is exciting and the fact that the  image is made of type.
